Micachu and the Shapes

Micachu and the Shapes looks 80’s but it’s not.

Sounds similar to something but not too similar. It’s a great mix of indie and electro stuff resulting in some experimental pop.

The Clientele

I’ve spent the last 2 weeks listening to lots of new (for me) stuff and I found myself… late.

One of the new-for-me stuff is The Clientele. It’s so good and so no-crap rock poetry:

* mp3 – Losing Haringey {from Strange Geometry, 2005}
* mp3 – Haunted Melody {from The Violet Hour, 2003}

And I was wondering how to make a post about them. For my surprise, this morning I read they released a new EP [I know you don't like EP's but this one is worth a listen so far].

* ZIP – That Night, a Forest Grew [EP]

[new song] Franz Ferdinand

‘Lucid Dreams’ is part of their upcoming album, but will not be release as a single. I think we can stream directly from their official website, but as half the world is trying to do this the page is not loading.

BUT The Popscene has done the dirty job and here it is:

* mp3 – Lucid Dreams

‘House of Cards’ – Radiohead

‘I don’t want to be your friend
I just want to be your lover
No matter how it ends
No matter how it starts’

* House of Cards

Bloc Party

In an electronic vein, Bloc Party guys has released a new single called Mercury.
This ‘change’ always causes some resistance, but it’s not a bad thing. Trust us.

This is the official video, directed by Ace Norton. Pay attention when Smith points the World Map!

And there’s the mp3 for your collection:
