Tim Festival 2008 – part 1

October is our Spring break. This means lots of concerts. Because we’re South America, we are considered poor people. And that’s true. But we can rock and jazz and electro also, ok? Come down here and you’ll see.

Anyway, Tim Festival is one of the big stuff that will happen in the end of the month. São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Vitoria (3 big cities in different states, go to Google Maps to learn) will receive rock and jazz celebrities.

So, to make things easier for you (and for us), we’ll make daily posts about them.

The National

The National… For those indie-rockers really rockers. No computer, no synths…5 guys, drum, bass, guitars, and beautiful lyrics in the amazing Matt Berninger’s voice. True indie rock and we like it [this blog loves pure rock too. And all the classics, wait and see].

Well, the image above speaks for itself. Vincent Moon [La Blogotheque] has directed a documentary about The National while they were releasing ‘Boxer’ – the album which made them what they are. A must have.

>> Watch the trailler

If you buy the movie you’ll get an EP specially made for this happening with b-sides, covers, demos and live versions [includes a superb version of 'Fake Empire']. There’s not much to say, watch, listen and enjoy.

>> You’ve Done It Again, Virginia
>> Luck You
>> Fake Empire
