To celebrate Canada Day a little mixtape with a few bands we like. Just a few, there’s a ton of them!

Só porque o dia do Canadá foi ontem e pra aproveitar que tem muita, mas muita banda canadense que a gente gosta. Essas não são nem a metade…

RETHINKING 2MW

Soon.
Em breve.

Final Fantasy

Owen Pallett is Arcade Fire’s violinist. Really talented and cool. He has this beautiful project called Final Fantasy which we came across while researching about queer indie stars. Yes, he is gay and wants the world to know it. He and his good friend Ed Droste, Grizzly Bear’s front man.

Owen covers Mariah Carey. I love this video.

Final Fantasy is releasing 2 EP’s: Plays to Please and Spectrum, 14th Century – both with surprisingly good partners as Beirut and Andrew Bird.

Spectrum, 14th Century EP:
*mp3 – Oh, Spectrum
*mp3 – The Butcher

Plays to Please EP:
*mp3 – Horsetail Feathers
*mp3 – Ultimatum

This Week’s Leaks

After some days busy or sick as hell, here some news:

- TV on the Radio: their new album, Dear Science, will be soon out. This track is really more pop, but it’s too soon to say something about the whole stuff.

*mp3 – Golden Age

- Fujiya & Miyagi: Yay! Finally we got some leaks from the new album! Lightbulbs will be on stores on 9th, but we had the pleasure of watching the Knickerbocker video some time ago. Well, F&M is a formula, but a nice one.

*mp3 – Pussyfooting
*mp3 – Knickerbocker
*mp3 – Dishwasher

- Of Montreal:

Yay #2! Here’s another one from our dear Of Montreal, to be release in October.

Still have nothing to say about.

*mp3 – Id Engager
*mp3 – Nonpareil of Favor

The Clientele

I’ve spent the last 2 weeks listening to lots of new (for me) stuff and I found myself… late.

One of the new-for-me stuff is The Clientele. It’s so good and so no-crap rock poetry:

* mp3 – Losing Haringey {from Strange Geometry, 2005}
* mp3 – Haunted Melody {from The Violet Hour, 2003}

And I was wondering how to make a post about them. For my surprise, this morning I read they released a new EP [I know you don't like EP's but this one is worth a listen so far].

* ZIP – That Night, a Forest Grew [EP]
